NEW 2017-2018 Board of Directors
Submitted By BGHC Communications Jen Buchalter on Wednesday, May 24, 2017
My name is Mike Hover and I am honoured to be your new President of the Burlington Girls Hockey Club.  I am very eager and excited to take on this role, and to help craft the future of hockey for our BGHC players.  As President, I will ensure that our board continues to govern our club with two guiding principles – integrity and transparency.

I want to extend a special CUDAS to our out-going Directors, Sean Kelly, Steve Langdon and Dave Schurman for their time commitment this past season.  We are also extremely grateful to past President, Barb Rockx who has played an integral role in leading the BGHC Board of Directors.  We appreciate all her hard work and welcome her as our Treasurer and Scheduler.

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to your new Board of Directors.  These volunteers were elected at our Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, May 16th.
Vice President,  Hockey - Jason Crawford
Vice President, Business Operations - Dave Irwin
Director, Competitive Teams - Augustine Chung
Director, Communications - Jen Buchalter
Director, Equipment & Player Safety - Jen Steifeling
Director, House League - Dave Lafleur
Director, House League - James Smith
Treasurer and Scheduler - Barb Rockx

The following positions did not receive nominations and as a Board, we will now decide how to fill these vacant positions:
Director of Fundraising
Director of Competitive Teams #2 – 2 year role

You can find contact details under the “About Us’ tab for each board member as well as our incredible Support Team.  We welcome and encourage constructive feedback.      Hockey is one of the best environments for young females to learn hard work, team work, goal setting and a great way to make new and life-long friends.

On behalf of the Board, I look forward to working with our new Board, Coaches and Support Staff to help our young athletes mature into great community members.

See you at the rink next season!
