HEAD COACH
for the
2024/25 Season
My Coaching career started as a 13 year old teenager working at Varsity hockey school with the youngest age groups trading labor for free power skating. From here I used those skills to help run the BMLA development program in Brampton and managed junior instructors while also assisting my dad coach the Girls Brampton Canadettes team. I then switched focus and coached a house league lacrosse team and was ushered into a head coaching role with our Juvenile Rep program which I operated for two years.
When I began my teaching career, I jumped into all coaching positions available in a variety of sports. Since the onset of interest from my daughter to play hockey, I believed my experience in coaching could be put to use in the Burlington organization. I have assisted in coaching her in the IP program for two years and have assisted with two other teams in the Burlington Barracuda Organization.
I am a coach; it is my character and my nature. I teach as an occupation and in my free time, I teach sport. I view coaching and teaching as two in the same: make it fun, provide meaningful experiences, keep kids safe and promote growth. This is my philosophy in the classroom and on the field (or Ice) This is who I am and what I do best.
