Chris is a product of Burlington Minor Hockey - from Paperweight (BLOMHA) to Bantam (Burlington City Rep - now the Burlington Eagles) where he played at both the AA and AAA levels. In High School Chris played Hockey at Notre Dame Secondary School. Chris is still very active in Recreational hockey and has been involved with the BGHC for the past 3 seasons at both the House League and Rep levels. Chris is also a teacher within the Halton Public School Board. Chris is very excited about taking on a head coaching position within the BGHC next season!
U11A Head Coach - Traci Killip - [email protected]
Traci is entering her 4th year of coaching in the BGHC. Traci has been the head coach of the U9A and B teams as well as an assistant coach for the U7 program. She enjoys sharing her passion for the game with young girls while being a positive female role model. Traci played with the Jr. Barracudas and then move on to play 4 years at RIT.
U13A Head Coach - Piper Thompson - [email protected]
Piper is entering her third year with BGHC and her 7th year of coaching. Prior to coaching, Piper played competitive hockey for 17 years. Piper is passionate about growing girl's hockey, the love of the sport and is dedicated to creating an environment that promotes teamwork, learning, and the pleasure of both personal and team success.
U15A Head Coach - Jay Rousseau - [email protected]
Coach Jay began his coaching career in 2014, and is now in his third year as the U15A Barracudas head coach. His focus is not only on player development but also on fostering growth, on and off the ice. As a multi-sport athlete, Coach Jay has gained valuable insights into a wide range of coaching methods. These methods enable him to adapt his approach to the individual needs of each player. He excels in working with diverse personalities and strives to help every athlete find their own strengths and role within the team. Jay’s belief is simple yet powerful; by helping players understand and develop their unique potential, they can contribute to the team in meaningful ways, while reaching their fullest athletic ability.
U18A Head Coach - Stan De Rango - [email protected]
Stan has been coaching in youth hockey for 30 years with both male and female hockey teams at all skills levels and age groups. He has spent the last 3 seasons with the Oakville Hornets Organization as their U18 AA Head Coach where he has enjoyed a great deal of on-ice success. Prior to that he was with the Mississauga Girls Hockey League (MGHL) were he was part of both the Executive level and Elite Performance Programme, helping create and run player development for U13 / U15 AA teams. Stan is a fierce competitor and generates winning seasons through good teaching and inspiration.
