U13AA Barracudas Keep Rolling
The U13AA Barracudas just keep on rolling! Over the last two weeks the Cuddas have qualified for Provincials and won their first round of the playoffs.
The girls first won a difficult four game qualifier series against Mississauga and Oakville to advance to Provincials. The girls went undefeated in qualifying, with 2 wins and 2 ties.
The girls then faced Stoney Creek in Round 1 of the playoffs. Stoney came in as the number 1 seed in the division, but the Cuddas were confident, knowing they already had a historical winning record of 3-1-1 against the top seeded team (across regular season, tournaments and pre-season). The Cuddas showed themselves to be worthy of their record. The Cuddas went undefeated in the series, and won on the strength of team play, discipline and composure. They demonstrated the heart and maturity of champions.
The girls now advance to the next round of the playoffs, hoping to build on their success and looking to continue their 17 game undefeated streak!
Go Cuddas!
