Laura Satelmayer

Hi there, my name is Laura Satelmayer and I’m putting my name forward for the Director of Competitive Teams. I’ve previously served on the Board as the U7 Director and I’m a certified Level 2 Trainer. This past season taught me a lot about communication, organization, and the behind-the-scenes work that helps everything run smoothly.

I’m a very hard-working individual, and the experiences I’ve had—both on and off the ice—have shaped me into someone who’s eager to contribute in any way I can. I care deeply about the success of our athletes and the strength of our community. It’s important to me to continue building a strong female presence within the organization and to be someone families and young players can rely on for support. I want to be of value not just to the teams, but to the culture and future of our hockey community.

Raeshu Singh

I have been involved with the BGHC as a parent since 2018. Since being part of the BGHC I have volunteered to be a trainer and team manager for rep teams since 2022. I have held both roles and understand many of the OWHA policies and BGHC procedures. I truly enjoy being a contributing parent for these teams and hope I am a positive female role model for our young youth girls playing Hockey.

Outside of hockey, I work as a Project Manager, working with various vendors in construction, food and beverage, maintenance, etc. Working as a Project Manager requires me to interact with various individuals face to face as well as build a positive office environment and employee experience. The skills I have developed in my professional role are transferable to what I can do for the BGHC, being a liason between the Board, OWHA and parents is very familiar territory to me, and creating a positive atmosphere where understanding the needs of an organization and their growth are all part of what I do on a daily basis.

In addition to my work experience I also hold a Bachelors in HR, so understanding people and their needs as well as communicating important information to parents and being sensitive to matters when required are also skills and experience I carry.

Being part of the BGHC for many years, I have built a lot of relationships with parents and coaches as well as players. I would like to continue to contribute to the BGHC in a larger capacity, and this role will allow me to do just that.
