The Barracudas are pleased to welcome back Caitlin Gilligan, a former Barracuda player and VP, Hockey Operations, as a Senior Hockey Advisor.
After starting out as a figure skater, Caitlin switched to hockey at 8 years old and never looked back. She grew up playing defence for the Barracudas for most of her minor career and went on to play for Plattsburgh State University. During her time at Plattsburgh, Caitlin and her team won 3 consecutive NCAA National Championships and 4 ECAC titles.
After University, Caitlin ventured off to Europe where she continued her career playing for the ECDC Memmingen Indians (Germany) and the Gothenburg Hockey Club (Sweden) in the SDHL. After returning home, Caitlin played SR. AA for the Oakville Hornets, worked as the head female instructor at Centre Ice Training Academy, and served as VP, Hockey Operations of the Barracudas.
Since 2024, Caitlin has been Vice President of Women's Hockey Development for the Casper Warbirds of the National Collegiate Development Conference. Caitlin is passionate about women's hockey and devoted to working towards its further development.
