Position: Club Administrator
Join Our Team and Support the Growth of Girl’s Hockey!
Position Overview
The BGHC is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrator to join our team. This position
plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the club, supporting players,
parents, coaches, and volunteers. If you are passionate about hockey and have excellent
organizational skills, we encourage you to apply! This is a PAID Staff (non-Board) position,
requiring availability 4-5 days a week, likely 20-30 hours weekly on average.
Key Responsibilities
● Club Administrative Support: Manage club communications, maintain and update club documents, manage inventory of Club hockey supplies and equipment.
● Corporate Administrative Support: Attend Board meetings and Board committee meetings, take and maintain Minutes, manage corporate filings.
● Finance Support: Record registrations, assist with Rep fee/assessment tracking, prepare Rep Team bank account letters.
● Volunteer Coordination: Onboard and support volunteers for various roles within the club.
● Communication: Act as the liaison between the BGHC, OWHA, parents, and coaching staff, ensuring timely dissemination of information.
● Marketing and Promotion: Help promote the club through social media, newsletters, and community events, including the annual Gift of Giving Back campaign.
● Problem Solving: Address inquiries and resolve issues raised by members or stakeholders promptly and professionally
● Member contact: Hold office hours, attend at various club events such as House League Day; U7 program fitting days, Bauer First Shift fitting day, photo days, House League Championship weekend; tryouts.
Qualifications
● Experience in administration.
● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficiency in standard office software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
● Ability to multitask and prioritize under deadlines.
● Knowledge or experience in minor hockey or sports administration.
● Flexibility to attend evening or weekend events as required.
