Register early to avoid disappointment.  Groups are limited to 30 skaters each.  Waiting lists are anticipated.  

Only players registered for the BGHC House League program (intent to register) can register for this program.  If a wait list arises and your daughter is not registered for house league, her registration for this program will be revoked in favour of a properly registered house league player.

Details and Schedule

 

Sessions:  This program is 6 sessions on-ice for 50 minutes each.  Dates and times are below.  All registered BGHC house league players are welcome.  Full hockey gear is required.  

Cost:  The fee is $100 total for all sessions.  Registration is for all 6 sessions.  Individual session registration is not available.  Discounts will NOT be offered for girls that register after sessions have begun.

Registration:  Girls will register to one of 3 groups  - groups are based on age.  Please see below for age categories.  NOTE:  The BGHC reserves the right to move girls between groups to ensure groups sizes are similar and all girls get the best possible experience.

Age categories:  The age groups (age as of December 31, 2021) will be as follows:

U9: ages 7 - 9  

U11: ages 10 and 11  

U13 & U15: ages 12 - 14  

Schedule:  The schedule below can also be located on the Fall Skills School Category in our BGHC Calendar. 
Registrants are responsible to verify their own schedule.  There will be no refunds for missed sessions.  

Please check the website calendar for any potential changes prior to the start of the program.

Everyone attending the arena for tryouts MUST complete the following questionnaire prior to coming to the rink.

All coaches, on-ice help, trainers, players and spectators must complete the form prior to attending the arena - see below for arena capacities.

The City of Burlington is following the restrictions in the Provincial document https://www.ontario.ca/page/reopening-ontario

“Indoor open at 50% capacity, with spectators permitted at a maximum capacity of 50% or 1,000 people (whichever is less) and other restrictions”

 In the regulation, Schedule 2 Section 16 refers to the details for sports https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/200364#BK12

  • Ice capacity – 100 people
  • mask-wearing still in effect and only those on the ice can remove when active
  • Physical Distance 2m still in effect for every person in an indoor area
  • Spectators are allowed as long as your organization is actively screening and confirming the positive screening prior to entering the building. Spectators need to remain seated in the designated area. No food or drink is allowed ie parents should not bring in coffees – please enjoy outside prior to entering. 
  • Capacity at Appleby Arena is based on the rink - Appleby 1 and 2  = 47 Spectators* and Appleby 3 = 30 Spectators
  • Skate tying is available in designated areas as it was in the winter. 
  • Please arrive at the rink dressed in full gear
