2018-2019 Rep Coach Appointments

The BGHC is pleased to announce the following coaches for the 2018-2019 Hockey Season!

Marc Brennan  Midget A

A ten-year Barracudas coach in both rep and house league divisions, Marc recently coached our Bantam BB, Peewee A and Peewee BB teams guiding the teams to silver and gold medal wins including the Bantam BB LLFHL 2016-2017 Division Champions. His coaching philosophy is to create a team culture that is fun and inclusive, providing players with the confidence to reach their full potential both on and off the ice.  His high-paced and well organized practices challenge players to develop their skills and knowledge of the game, maximizing their individual development and ultimately elevating the team's performance.  Marc can be reached at: [email protected]



Chris McGrath  Bantam A

Currently the Peewee A coach for the 2017-2018 season, Chris has lead this incredible team to three medal wins (two gold and one silver) and is currently placed third in the LLFHL South Central Division. A CUDAS hockey parent for the past 8 years with a true love for the game, Chris encourages a collaborative environment that provides athletes the skills, knowledge and positive attitude to excel in competitive sports. Dana Weistra  Peewee AA

A former Barracudas Midget AA and Peewee A coach, Dana has more than 20 years experience coaching boys and girls hockey, including 10 years with BLOMHA.   A hard-working coach and strong role-model for young athletes, Dana has guided teams to first place finishes, gold medal tournament wins and playoff championships. She brings a positive philosophy with principles that guide her coaching methodology with a commitment to create a balance between skill and game strategy development with her players.  A proud hockey parent to her full grown son and daughter, Dana's 45 years as a player, coach and hockey enthusiast demonstrates her commitment to Canada's favourite sport.   Dana can be reached at: [email protected]



Mark Cernjul  Atom AA

Currently the Atom A coach for the 2017-2018 season, Mark has guided this team to silver and gold medal wins this year.  A seven-year Barracudas rep coach (one year coaching two rep teams), Mark is a proud hockey parent who has coached both boys and girls hockey. A former Western University Varsity Men's Hockey assistant coach, Mark brings a wealth of experience to the rink.  He recognizes the significance of positively developing our young athletes during their formative years and the importance of cultivating a love for the game of hockey while building the team for success.  Mark can be reached at: [email protected]



Tim Lariviere  High Performance Manager

An educational and sports management leader, Tim currently works at Brock University in the Sports Management Department and brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role with the Barracudas.   He is a former National Women's Hockey League Coach with the Brampton Thunder (1998 - 2006), where he guided the teams to silver and gold medal wins including a Bronze Medal in the Esso Canadian Women’s Championships. Tim holds a masters degree in Sports Administration from Canisius College and a Physical Education degree from McGill University.   His dedication to supporting girls hockey in Brampton and Georgetown earned him the City of Brampton Parks and Recreation Sports Achievement Award and the Halton Hills Community Service Recognition Award.



We are currently finalizing the following Rep Coach Appointments: Midget BB, Bantam Team 3 (BB/B), Peewee Team 2 & 3 (A/BB/B), Atom Team 2 & 3 (A/BB/B) and Novice Team 1 (AA/A).
