2019/2020 Bantam A & Midget A Head Coach Announcement
The BGHC is pleased to announce the appointment of the following Rep Head Coaches for the 2019/2020 Season.

Bantam A Ι Mark Cernjul

Currently the Atom AA coach for the 2018-2019 season, Mark Cernjul has been coaching for the past 22 years at various levels including high school, Midget AAA, Junior A and CIS University.  A 10-year Barracudas rep coach (one year coaching two rep teams), Mark is a proud hockey parent who has coached both boys and girls hockey. A former Western University Varsity Men's Hockey assistant coach, Mark brings a wealth of experience to the rink.  He recognizes the significance of positively developing our young athletes during their formative years and the importance of cultivating a love for the game of hockey while building the team for success.  Mark can be reached at: [email protected]

Midget A Ι Stephen Day

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Stephen grew up playing rep hockey but eventually made his mark in football as an All-Canadian Defensive Back with the University of Alberta Golden Bears and a CFL draft pick with the Edmonton Eskimos. Following his playing career, Stephen advanced as a physical education teacher and coached football at the University of Alberta and AA hockey for many years prior to relocating to Burlington. He has coached in Burlington for the past 6 years with both the Barracudas and Eagles organizations. He strongly believes that sport is a vehicle to build character, leadership, problem solving and confidence in young athletes. Stephen believes players need to practice like they play so he focuses on developing up-tempo, competitive practices that replicate game like scenarios. You can reach Stephen at [email protected].
