Submitted By BGHC Communications Jen Buchalter on Saturday, March 23, 2019
The BGHC is pleased to announce the appointment of the following Rep Head Coaches for the 2019/2020 Season.

PeeWee Team 2 (A/BB) Ι Marty Savoy
A ten-year Barracudas coach in both rep and house league divisions, Marty is currently the Peewee BB Head Coach, and a D1 certified coach,  who creates a positive, fun, safe and respectful environment that will enhance technical skill development of the girls.   Commissioner of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, proud father to three Barracudas hockey players and a former Junior Hockey Player, Marty brings a wealth of knowledge and key insights to the BGHC.  An incredible brand ambassador and supporter of girls hockey, Marty recognizes the significance of positively developing our young athletes during their formative years and the importance of cultivating a love for the game of hockey. Marty can be reached at [email protected].

PeeWee Team 3 (BB/B) Ι Josh Flippance
Josh is a D1 trained coach, whose philosophy is, regardless of the level of the kids, to ensure each and every player is having fun. The keys to success for any team is that they are having fun, with an emphasis on skill development, strong work ethic, always trying your best, and coming out to play hard as a team.   A seven-year Barracudas coach, Josh played competitive hockey and has developed a strong reputation as a coach who ensures fairness and equal opportunity no matter what the situation.  He has contributed to the development of a number of players over time who have gone on to play competitively at higher levels.  Josh can be reached at [email protected].

Atom Team 2 (A/BB) Ι Michael Burton
A dedicated Barracudas hockey dad, Michael is currently the Novice A coach and has been an Assistant Coach for the CUDAS, BLOMHA, Bulldogs and the ORHL Minor Atom Cougars for more than seven years.   Fuelled by passion and enjoyment, Michael embraces the mantra "Success is a Journey, not a destination."  He is committed to growing our players by teaching them life skills including the importance of team work, the desire to deliver your best and above all, have fun.  Michael can be reached at [email protected].

Atom Team 3 (BB/B) Ι Craig Valiquette
A D1 Certified coach, Craig has more than 15 years experience coaching girls and boys hockey.  His coaching philosophy is that all athletes should be coached in a way that fosters a love for the game in a fun and safe environment.  He believes that a team's success, on and off the ice, is achieved through fair play, hard work, mutual respect and commitment to the team. Craig can be reached at [email protected].

Please join us in congratulating our Atom and Peewee Coaches for the 2019-2020 Season!
