2020-21 Team 3 Rep Coaching Announcement
The BGHC is pleased to announce the following Team 3 Rep coaching appointments for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.

Chris Plummer | Midget U17 Team 3

An eight-year Barracudas coach and assistant coach in both rep and house league divisions. For the past two years Chris has been the assistant coach for the BGHC Bantam B team. He creates a positive, fun, safe and respectful environment that will enhance skill development of the girls.  Chris's philosophy is, regardless of the level of the kids, to ensure each and every player is having fun. He believes in teaching hockey skills that are also life lessons - hard work always pays off, team play is always easier than individual play and setting a goal and working towards it is very rewarding. It is not just the goal but more so the journey to achieving it that is important. Chris can be reached at [email protected]

Heather Michlik l Bantam U15 Team 3

As a current Bantam BB assistant coach, BGHC Head Coach for the past 5 years, HSSAA (High School) Head Coach, and long-time hockey athlete, Heather brings with her a strong understanding and passion for the game. Heather's coaching philosophy is to compete while encouraging fun, showing respect for fellow players, and promoting a growth mindset to develop stronger skills and allow each athlete to take pride in her game. She believes that setting clear expectations and team communication, positive support and encouragement, honest feedback, and focus during games helps girls compete at their maximum potential. Heather is a teacher by profession, and functions as a positive female role model for the girls. Heather can be reached at: [email protected].

Andy Harkness l Peewee U13 Team 3

This will be Andy’s 5th year coaching in the BGHC and has coached his daughter’s Samantha and Leah at the Novice DS, Novice B, Atom BB and Peewee BB levels and looks forwards to another great season.
Andy’s coaching philosophy is to provide a fun, challenging and accountable competitive hockey program with positive high-level coaching and elite instructional development (including rep development and outside experts) in a family friendly environment. His goal is to prepare, develop and support each girl to have a fun and a successful year and for every girl to love coming to the rink and want to play hockey the following season. Everything starts with strong communication and team core values.  His Core Values are:  FUN, POSITIVE ATTITUDE and HARD WORK. Andy can be reached at [email protected]

Craig Valiquette l Peewee U13 Team 3

A D1 Certified coach, Craig has more than 15 years’ experience coaching girls and boys hockey.  His coaching philosophy is that all athletes should be coached in a way that fosters a love for the game in a fun and safe environment.  Craig believes that a team's success, on and off the ice, is achieved through fair play, hard work, mutual respect and commitment to the team. Craig can be reached at [email protected].
