BGHC 2021-22 REP A Coaching Announcement
BGHC 2021-22 REP A Coaching Announcment

This has been a season like no other and although things may have been delayed, rest assured, the process for appointing our 2021-22 coaching team remains the same, and is currently underway.

For those families who are new to our organization, the selection for all BGHC coaches, both REP and House League, follow very clear guidelines.  We are extremely fortunate to have key leaders in the hockey community that participate on our selection committees, ensuring a fair and non-bias approach in building exceptional leadership and development for all our BGHC players.

We are currently accepting applications for 2021-22 Rep Team 3 coaches in all divisions, U9(team 2) thru U18. Deadline to submit applications is Sunday, January 24th 2021 at 11:59pm. Applications are encouraged, but only those with relevant experience will be contacted for interview.  Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, all interviews will be performed via virtual call.

The BGHC is pleased to announce our Rep A Coaching Team for the upcoming 2021-2020 season.

Jamey Schein l U11 Team 2

Currently an assistant coach on Jana Harrigan's U9 team Jamey will be returning for his fourth year with the Barracudas organization having previously coached house league and running the BGHC FUNdamentals program for the 2019/2020 season. Growing up in Burlington and having played both hockey and rugby at multiple levels Jamey understands the joy of being part of a team and the importance of making connections both on and off the playing field and encourages his players to have as much fun as they can together to create life long bonds while developing key team skills for later in life.

On the ice Jamey's coaching philosophy focuses on ensuring a strong base of fundamental skills through progressive skill development and introducing a team play structure while ensuring a supportive atmosphere where players can learn from mistakes as much as they do from their successes.

Andy Harkness l U13 A

His goal is to prepare, develop and support each girl to have a fun and a successful year and for every girl to love coming to the rink.  Everything starts with strong communication and core team values.  His Core Values are:  FUN, POSITIVE ATTITUDE and HARD WORK.
