We are pleased to announce our Team 3 Rep coaching appointments to round out our exemplary team for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

Chris Plummer | U18 BB

For the past two years Chris has been the head coach for the BGHC U18 B team. He creates a positive, fun, safe and respectful environment that will enhance skill development of the girls.  Chris's philosophy is, regardless of the level of the kids, to ensure each and every player is having fun. He believes in teaching hockey skills that are also life lessons - hard work always pays off, team play is always easier than individual play and setting a goal and working towards it is very rewarding. It is not just the goal but more so the journey to achieving it that is important. Chris can be reached at [email protected]

John Brown l U15 Team 3

John is the current BGHC U13 A Head coach and a nine-year Barracudas coach in both rep, house, and DS divisions. His coaching philosophy is to provide a fun, fair, safe and supportive environment that encourages and motivates aspiring players to achieve their goals.  Having previously coached across several age groups at the rep level John understands the importance of developing skills that will lead to successful team play now and in the future. John believes in learning life lessons through sport and is committed to developing challenging drills, individual and team skills, varied practices and fun games that help build teamwork, strength, character and a sense of accomplishment.  John can be reached at [email protected]

Craig Valiquette l U13 Team 3

A D1 Certified coach, Craig has more than 15 years’ experience coaching girls and boys hockey.  His coaching philosophy is that all athletes should be coached in a way that fosters a love for the game in a fun and safe environment.  Craig believes that a team's success, on and off the ice, is achieved through fair play, hard work, mutual respect and commitment to the team. Craig can be reached at [email protected].

Will Short l U11 Team 3

Will has coached both of his daughters in the BGHC for the past 4 years.  Over this time he has been an Assistant Coach or Head Coach with the House League, Development Stream and Rep programs. He is currently an Assistant Coach with the U13 B team.

His goal as head coach is to provide a fun and safe environment for players to participate in both game and practice scenarios.  He will place a strong emphasis on building player confidence, maturity and self-esteem.  He believes he can achieve this by being supportive, providing encouragement and creating a safe environment for the players to learn and have fun on and off the ice. Will can be reached at [email protected].
