2021-22 Season Vaccination Requirement
2021-22 Season Vaccination Requirement

Hello BGHC Families,

In an effort to prepare all our Cudas families for the upcoming season, we are sharing the most recent information available regarding vaccination regulations.

The BGHC must adhere to all Government, OWHA (Ontario Women's Hockey Association), and the City of Burlington regulations.  Unfortunately, the parameters surrounding these announcements remain unclear and at this time we can only look to prepare our families for possible scenarios as they have been communicated to our organization.

TIMELINE:

  • On September 1st, the Government of Ontario released information regarding upcoming regulations surrounding vaccinations and indoor facilities.
  • In response, the OWHA released a statement that all players and spectators will require proof of vaccination by October 17th, 2021 for the upcoming season.
  • On September 12th, The City of Burlington released information that as of September 22nd, City staff will be looking for proof of vaccination from all eligible persons (up to 2009 birthyear) seeking entry to a City of Burlington facility.

At this time, it remains unclear whether players/volunteers/spectators will be turned away from facilities based on these timelines and scenarios. In order to ease the anticipated transition, we would encourage all those with the relevant documentation to keep on hand for entry to all Burlington facilities moving forward.

We will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available.
