2021 Preseason Gets Going for the Jr. Barracudas

It is with great excitement for the Jr. Barracudas to get their exhibition preseason going again after such a long shutdown of competitive games.  The last time the Jr. Barracudas took the ice for competition was in the last game of their round 1 playoff vs. the Southwest Jr. Wildcats on March 7, 2020 where they won to advance to round 2.  Unfortunately the season was shut down just as round 2 vs. the Kington Jr. Ice Wolves was about to start.

Fast forward through the entire 2020-2021 season with no game play to last Sunday September 12th, the Jr. Barracudas finally hit the ice to play the London Jr. Devilettes.  Although the game did not result with W in the books, the feeling of routine, excitement and anticipation for the game day experience was incredible!

The Jr. Barracudas will be continuing their exhibition preseason this coming Saturday the 18th vs. the Oakville Jr. Hornets at 8:30 PM, at the Appleby Arena in Burlington.  Then they move on to an exciting "Burlington U22 Multi-Day Exhibition" being held over the 24, 25 and 26 of September.  The multi-day event will see 5 teams playing each other (4 games each) over the weekend, and will include the Etobicoke Jr. Dolphins, the Mississauga Jr. Hurricanes, the Leaside Jr. Wildcats, the Brampton Jr. Canadettes, and the Burlington Jr. Barracudas.

All games will be held at the Mainway arena, the home arena for the Jr. Barracudas!  It will be an exciting time for the team as they finally get back to a routine and get back in their home locker room!

As a new feature this year, all the Jr. Barracudas home games, including the preseason, will be available to watch live via our livestream on our YouTube channel.
